What you need to know
If you enroll, Honeywell provides you with access to a network of qualified attorneys. You can get help with a variety of legal needs, including estate planning, financial matters, real estate, defense of civil lawsuits, family law, traffic offenses, document preparation and review, immigration assistance, and more.
Emergency Response Legal Assistance
In response to Hurricane Helene, MetLife Legal Plans is offering free attorney document review and consultation services to all Honeywell employees. You do not have to be currently enrolled in the legal plan to contact an attorney for help with issues related to this event.
With this offer, you can contact an attorney for consultation and document review for issues such as:
- Reviewing documents related to federal aid and insurance claims
- Providing consultation for identity theft issues due to lost personal documents
- Answering questions about damaged property for renters or homeowners
- Providing advice on dealing with creditors and bill collectors
You also have access to our self-help document library to complete wills, living wills and power of attorney documents. You can access the library at: MetLife Legal Plans.
This free assistance is available through December 31, 2024. To get connected to an attorney, call our Client Service Center at 800-821-6400. You will need to identify yourself as a Honeywell employee and indicate that you are interested in the document review and consultation services being offered as part of the Emergency Response Legal Assistance Plan.
Reduce your out-of-pocket costs for legal services
The MetLife Legal Plans Plus Parents covers you, your spouse, your dependents, your parents, and grandparents for many common legal issues. You simply pay a premium each month through payroll deduction to be part of the plan, and you always have the ability to choose your own attorney.
Network attorneys are available in person, by phone or by email. If you use a network attorney, the plan will cover the attorney’s fees for many legal matters with no deductibles, co-pays, claims forms, or usage limits. If you choose an attorney outside the network, you will be reimbursed some of the cost.
Convenient online resources allow a do-it-yourself approach for some matters such as wills, living wills and powers of attorney. Answer a few questions about yourself, your family and your assets to create these documents instantly. These tools are not available to your parents. In states where available, you also have access to sign and notarize your documents online through MetLife’s video notary feature.
