Honeywell’s benefits and resources offer support when you need it most.

When you lose a loved one, you have a wide array of needs. These include help making decisions, time to grieve, and someone to help you manage your emotions. Honeywell has resources to help you meet all of these needs and more.

SurvivorSupport®

Many benefits are designed to provide financial security when the worst happens. However, it can be challenging to understand the decisions you need to make and how to access those benefits. That’s why Honeywell provides assistance through Goldman Sachs Ayco’s SurvivorSupport®️ financial counseling service.

SurvivorSupport®️ advisors understand Honeywell benefits, the financial decisions you may need to make, and how to help you or your spouse make the many challenging decisions required after a death, such as how to collect your life insurance benefit and access your 401(k) account savings.

SurvivorSupport®️ is designed to coordinate the efforts of Honeywell’s human resources team, your attorney, accountant, and insurance agent or broker. Their services include:

  • One-on-one session
  • Personal financial plan, prioritizing issues that need attention
  • Follow-up support for 12 months
  • Access to Goldman Sach’s Ayco website

Bereavement Leave

Bereavement Leave provides time away from work to grieve. You are fully compensated for up to three business days (24 hours in the case of full-time non-exempt employees) for each loss. If your situation requires extended time away or out-of-state travel, your supervisor may approve an additional two business days for a total of five days of Bereavement Leave.

If additional time is needed, you may take an unpaid leave with management approval. Non-exempt employees may also use any accrued vacation time to cover additional time off.

To see the full policy, visit HR Direct > Policies > USA Standard Policies.

Talk with a therapist

If you’re enrolled in the Honeywell Medical Plan with Cigna or Horizon, you may talk with a therapist from home. Teladoc allows you to speak with a mental health provider from wherever you are most comfortable, 7 days a week by phone or video. You pay only $10 per visit and all conversations are confidential. Call 1-800-TELADOC (800-835-2362). These copays will be applied to your medical plan deductible and out -of-pocket maximums.

In addition, HealthResource offers Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services. Take advantage of a wide range of services, including up to five face-to-face counseling sessions per issue per year. Call a Health Advocate at 800-944-4887.

Make sure your family is protected

A beneficiary is a person (or people) you name to receive a benefit in the event of your death. Naming a beneficiary ensures your money will go where you want. Your loved ones will get timely access, without legal hassles, to money they’re entitled to in the event of your passing. If you don’t name a beneficiary, your benefit may not be paid to the person you intended, or the payment may be delayed.

Learn more about beneficiaries.

Your beneficiaries are recorded by the benefit vendor that offers the particular benefit. Visit each website below to confirm that you’ve chosen a beneficiary and that it doesn’t need to be updated.
